“In-line and Real-time digital nano-characterization technologies for the high yield manufacturing of Flexible Organic Electronics”
RealNano is an ambitious 36-month project that will develop novel and fast real-time nano-characterization materi-als tools & methodologies based on Spectroscopic Ellipsometry (SE), Raman Spectroscopy (RS), Imaging Photolu-minescence (IPL) and Laser Beam Induced Current Mapping (LBIC) that will be integrated to in-line R2R (Roll-to-Roll) Printing and OVPD (Organic Vapor Phase Deposition) Pilot-to-Production Lines (PPLs) for characterization of Organic & Printed Electronics (OE) nanolayers, devices & products during their manufacturing.
RealNano will play a major role in the Digital Transformation of the EU industries since it will increase the intelligence of manufacturing processes for OEs and other industrial applications by demonstrating a yield im-provement up to 90%, in combination to above 30% reduction on wastes and resources for nanomaterials upscaling. The project’s innovations will boost the reliability, efficiency and cost-effectiveness of OE manufacturing processes, to develop nanomaterials, devices and products with a return of investment less than 5 years.
General objectives of RealNano:
The Role of BL NanoBiomed in RealNano:
Design and development of inorganic NPs for in-vitro diagnostics, Biofunctionalization of NPs for heart attack and cancer diagnosis, development of biological components and biosensors devices.
BL NanoBiomed’s portfolio involves one patent on fabrication methods on complex drug delivery nano-systems for sustainable and controllable drug release for biomedical use (PCT/GR2012/0100450).
